This observational EEG study (n=42) found that people who had used psilocybin/LSD or 5-MeO-DMT within the previous three weeks showed a dominant right frontoparietal beta-wave brain state, linked to the time since use. Recent typical psychedelic users also showed a prominent theta-wave state, while overall neural complexity was unchanged.
