A Call for Women’s Representation in Psychedelic Research

Research

Based on a scoping review of psychedelic research for substance use disorders, this chronicle explores the persistent underrepresentation of women in clinical studies. The author weaves scientific findings with clinical experience to show how gender differences are frequently left unanalyzed in psychedelic research. By situating these patterns within a broader history of medical science, the piece invites a more attentive and inclusive approach to studying psychedelics and women’s health.
